First of all, the Wizards are playing really bad right now. They just won there first game Sunday, that puts them at 1-5. Not too good, especially with all the promise they showed at the end of last season. It's only a matter of time before Arenas starts lighting it up again, and once that happens it's all over.

NBAtv is no longer free for some reason. Do you know how mad that makes me? Well, not all that mad because I can get it back for $1.99/month. But still, it should be free. We pay enough for fucking digital cable and there is still never anything on unless it's the NBA or Walker. Maybe I can restucture my cable subsciption to only include TNT, ESPN, Comcast Sports Net, The History Channel, NBAtv, and Hallmark (for Walker). Even if they charged $5 a channel it would be so much cheaper.

I've started playing Zelda on the Wii again. I checked the last saved game I had and it was way back in April. Damn, that's like 7 months since I've last played it. I'm really far into the game too, not really sure why I stopped playing it. I am starting to remember how much fun it was. Once I beat Zelda I am really excited about playing Metroid 3. I've read the reviews and they're all really high, plus I loved the first one on the Gamecube (not really the first one, but the first one I've played).

Went to Michigan for four days. It was interesting to see how close Canada is to Detroit. It is right accross the river. I would have loved to go over the boarder but I didn't have my passport and we didn't have the time. While in Detroit I went to Chucky Cheese! I've never been to Chucky Cheese because we didn't have one where I grew up. I had a lot of fun. The pizza isn't all that impressive but the games were a lot of fun. I kept scheming on how to steal little kids tokens. I unfortunately didn't. I played a lot of that basketball shooting game, you know, the one where the rims are just slightly bigger than the ball so it isn't easy to get the ball in the hoop unless you are perfectly on tarket. They had a sitdown version of Mario cart in which me and Marcy went head to head. She beat me but she cheated. Before the race starts you take a picture with a built in camera in front of you. You have to line up your face with superimpossed features of the character you chose to race with. I picked Mario so I had a red hat on and mustache. The problem was that it was designed for a little kid's heads so the hat was to my eyebrows and the mustache covered up part of my nose. It was creapy, I legitamately looked like a child molester, in Chucky Cheese out of all places. I wish I could have taken a picture of it.

OK, there is one of the craziest people I've ever talked to in the store right now. Crazier than the guy I met when I was doing news photography who showed me a rock and told me that it was an alien spacecraft. This lady came in in full camo hunting apparel with a white hood that covered everything except her mouth up to just above her eyebrows, and her perfectly straight bleach white bangs hung down almost over her eyes. The hood looked like the ones racecar drivers wear under their helmets to protect them from burns if their car catches on fire. She never took it off in the 20 minutes she was in the store. That was CLUE #1. She seemed pretty lucid and then told me she paints musicians when they were young. I guess she imagines them as youngsters and then paints them. Ok, weird, but nothing to worry about. Then she asked me what artist I like and I told her Mackenzie Thorpe and showed her "Don't Leave Me Here" (a piece with a child in all black sitting on a huge cliff. Josh has this piece in my bedroom). She said she liked it but it was really scary. Then she told me that it reminded her of when her brother in law tried to drown her 1 year old in the Chesapeake.  "So I had to get out of the boat and swim over there and save him. And I asked my brother in law why he did it and he told me he wanted to see if he could swim. I wouldn't hesitate to murder him. Then I found out that he threw his sister in a shred-o-matic when he was younger so he has actually tried to murder someone not only once but twice!" That was CLUE #2. CLUE #3 came when she was looking at a french street scene of a bistro and an arched alley. She told me that it reminded her of Canton (I've never been to Canton or seen pictures so just maybe this is true).  Once I told her I had never been there she told me that it USED to be nice 60 years ago.  She didn't look a day over 50. Then she told me that they have a grocery store there that is a submarine. "It's like shopping in a submarine." After that she told me that hundreds of fish died there this summer a no one ever cleaned them up.

This Canton place sound pretty interesting. Can't wait to go there.

The judicial system is so fucked up. People are sued for dumb shit everyday and murderers and rapists walk based on celebrity. There should be a lockdown on law schools. There are way too many lawyers and not enough actual issues for them to repressent. Any day now I'm going to be sued for not saying "Thank you."

The Mavs KILLED the Cavs last night in their first game this season. That's right, the team that repressented the East in the Finals last season were murdered by my favorite team. The team is so deep this year it is ridiculous, if they can't win it all then.......I will be mad.

Worthington's Law: this was a skit on Mr. Show that hillariously proclaimed that a person's importance to society, and history for that matter, is based on how much money that person made. I think that 80% of Annapolis and 90% of the people that walk into my store saw that skit and somehow didn't get the joke. Man, to think that you can push people around and demand irratinal (sp) things from them based on your sense of importance and ultimately wealth, it's hillarious. Hillarious, but not in a funny way. Now don't get me wrong, I want money too but if I did somehow aquire a large amount of money I know that I wouldn't be an asshole with it. I'm not jealous or anything (ok, maybe a little) I just think it is important to be modest.

Last thing, I was reading about how Colbert wanted to run for president representing South Carolina as both a Democrat and a Republican. Well, it is not going to happen but what I found most interesting is that the Republican party charges $35,000 to run and the Democrats only charge $2500, OR you can present 3000 signatures in support of the candidate and the $2500 fee will waived. Hell of a difference! You don't suppose the Republican party is for the rich, privilaged and elite do you? Oh, and lets not forget the Christian Warriors, rich or poor. They are believers in this thing called "blind faith." Thank GOD for politicians like Larry Craig who suck their holy dicks, LITERALLY.

Ok, one more thing, I promise. I saw on CNN today that these surfers were protesting the killing of dolphins in Japan. They had video of these japanese fishermen trapping schools of dolphins by surrounding them with nets and then guys in wetsuits would jump in the water with them and kill them by stabbing them with knives. It was horrible! The dolphins were desperately trying to escape the nets but were being killed one by one literally right next to each other. It made me really sad. Then it made me think yet again about how I'm far from innocent.

I eat meat nearly everyday and I'm not proud of that.

I hate lying to people...I very rarely do it and usually only if it is for comedic effect, and then I usually tell them imediately after that I'm lying. Well, my job basically requires that I lie to people constantly. If someone ever calls with an order issue it is 9 out of 10 times resolved with a lie. Man, it sucks lying to people, especially when they are really nice and understanding.

One more day till NBA tipoff!! Just the other day I got my Wii connected to the internet and I've been playing NBA Live 08 on there. Damn that shit is fun! The game isn't the greatest but just slaughtering people I've never met or will ever meet is enjoyable. At first I was getting my ass kicked by people who were terrible but now I think I'm getting much better. I really love it when people quit half way through the game because I get credit for the victory and don't actually have to earn it. I'm really good at basketball simulators and I think that with a little more practice I can make it to the top of the list.

Holloween is coming up in 2 days. I just don't get excited about Holloween anymore. I have no interest in dressing up. Ok, that's not true but I don't want to this year. I don't have any ideas of what creature or person I want to imitate, plus I have to work till 9 that night so most of the fun will be over by then. Unless you consider dressing up and getting drunk at the bar fun.  I'd rather watch basketball.

I do miss watching good horror films though. Even Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th are good no matter how bad they are. People think that torture movies are scary. They're not, they're disturbing. I miss old horror films where most of the effects and suspence where created on sets and in the camera. Now it is CGI. God I hate CGI! Sometimes it has it's shinning moments, those are usually when you have no idea that you just saw a CGI.  I think that my hate for CGI came from the special editions of the Star Wars movies. You know, when they added those unnecessary and obviously out of place scenes like some weird Star Wars creature farting or something stupid. The landscape scenes didn't even come close to matching up.  They remind me of cut scenes in video games.  You know, the graffics that they advertise on tv but when you get the game it looks nothing like the commercials. Now they even have to put "Actual Gameplay Footage" when they want to show you what the game actually looks like cause people are hit to that shit now.

I love that I have a girlfriend who enjoys Walker as much as I do. We watched an episode this morning and it was magnificent.  But i am getting a little jealous cause I think she is "sweet on" Trivette ("sweet on" as my dad would say).

I think I believe in Aliens and I don't think we landed on the moon.

Ok, this is the first post, I don't have much to say. I can see this thing falling apart pretty quickly. I just bought a synth modulation (envelope filter) the other day and it is a lot of fun to play with. It sounds pretty crazy which is exactly what I was looking for. I kind of want my guitar to sound nothing like a guitar sometimes.

Basketball season is about to start and it should be an exciting one. My complaint about last season is that there weren't a whole lot of good teams. I mean there were some really really good teams, there were some ok teams, and there were some really bad teams. I know that this is how it works but man last season was a let down. Mostly because my Mavs got smacked liked bitches. The Suns couldn't pull it out and Arenas got hurt. Man, when you have the Spurs vs. Cavs in the Finals you know there is something wrong. Hopefully the East will be a lot better this year. No, disrespect but the Cavs just weren't a good team. Lebron had that one awesome game against the Pistons but that's it. Anyway, I'm very excited about this season.

Animal Collective is probably my favorite band in a long time. Their new album is really stimulating. It makes me think about writing music in a whole different way. Their older albums are great but they really went above and beyond with the new one. I really want to be in a band like that. One that you can use sounds to make songs and not just chords and the whole verse chorus verse thing. Not that there is anything wrong with that, some of my favorite bands utilize those structures. There is something really interesting about their delivery.

So the group stopped bowling in favor of playing pool. I think it is a great idea, I honestly like pool a lot more than bowling. But playing at our house isn't quite the same. I think that we should go to a pool hall or something. It's hard to get better if you can't shoot from certain sides of the table. The downside of going out to play is that it cost money (which I am trying to find ways to save, not always smart ones), it is conducive to drinking (I don't want to have to get drunk to hang out with people), and pool halls are usually so smokey, makes me choke.

ok, that's enough for now, I gotta save something for the next post. It is weird to write mainly for yourself, all my life I have written for someone else to see, this is pretty liberating.
